Earnings Disclaimer
In short: the income examples on our websites are illustrative math, not a promise or a prediction. We don't know how much our graduates earn, and many people who take a course earn little or nothing from it. What you earn depends on you, your market, your costs and whether you're legally permitted to offer the service where you live.
1. Why this disclaimer exists
Stretchtogo LLC ("Stretchtogo", "we" or "us") sells certification courses on learnstretchtogo.com. Some pages include examples of how income from assisted-stretching sessions could add up (for example, a $150 session rate; that at that rate about seven sessions would equal the price of a $990 course; or that 3 sessions a day, 5 days a week, 4 weeks a month at that rate would come to $9,000 a month in gross session revenue). This page explains what those examples mean and, just as importantly, what they don't. It applies to every statement about income, earnings, pricing or business results on our websites, emails, social media, webinars and other materials.
2. Illustrative examples, not typical results
The income examples are hypothetical illustrations based on simple arithmetic. The $150 figure is the price Stretchtogo currently charges its own clients in South Florida for a one-hour mat Session at their location. It is not the amount our graduates charge or earn, and it is not the amount that Stretchtogo practitioners take home.
We do not collect data on our graduates' earnings, so we cannot tell you what a typical graduate earns. You should assume that the typical result is little or no income from the course, and that any income you do earn will require substantial time, effort and investment on your part. Past results, including the experience of our founder or any practitioner, testimonial or learner, are not a reliable indicator of what you will achieve.
"Covering the cost of the course" in a few sessions assumes that you find paying clients, that you can charge a rate similar to ours, and that you have no costs. In reality, you will have costs (see Section 4), you may charge less, and you may not find clients at all.
"$9,000 a month" assumes that you fill 3 paid sessions every working day, every week, at a rate similar to ours. It is gross session revenue before travel, expenses and taxes. It is not a typical result, and most practitioners will see far fewer sessions, especially when starting out.
3. No guarantee
We make no promise, representation or guarantee that you will earn any income, recover the cost of a course, find clients or employment, or build a business as a result of taking our courses or becoming Stretchtogo Certified. Completing a course and earning a certificate does not guarantee any financial result.
4. What affects what you might earn
Your results will depend on many factors, most of which we do not control, including:
- whether you are legally permitted to offer assisted stretching for pay where you work, and whether you need a massage-therapy or other license, business license or permit (see our Certification Program Terms);
- your existing skills, experience, client base, reputation and professional network;
- the local market: demand, competition, and the rates clients in your area will pay, which may be well below $150;
- how much time you can devote, and your marketing and business skills;
- your costs, including the course fee, travel time and transport, equipment, liability insurance, licensing and permit fees, marketing, payment-processing fees, platform or studio fees, and taxes; and
- general economic conditions.
Income figures in our examples are gross revenue before any of these costs and before taxes.
5. Testimonials
If we share a testimonial or success story that mentions income or business results, it reflects that individual's own experience, which is not typical and may not be repeatable. We will tell you if the person received anything of value in exchange for the testimonial or has a material connection to us, in line with the FTC's Endorsement Guides.
6. Do your own research
Before buying a course with the aim of earning income, please research the rules and the market where you plan to work, consider your costs carefully, and, if in doubt, speak with a licensed attorney, accountant or business adviser. You should not buy a course based on the expectation of earning any particular amount.
